This year’s Irish Biblical Reformation Conference will feature Dr James M Renihan, Professor of Historical Theology at the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies at Westminster Seminary, California. The conference will take place on 1st Nov 9:45- 1:00 at Edenmore Golf Club. Dr Renihan will speak twice on the theme of biblical leadership. Author Paul Tripp who is currently a member of the pastoral staff at Tenth Philadelphia Presbyterian Church is giving two talks at Belfast Bible College. He is giving an evening seminar on 21st October at 8:00pm called ‘The Challenge of Change in the Local Church.’ On Wednesday there is an event for church leaders, ‘Moving God’s People from Membership to Ministry.’ This runs from 10:00- 3:00 and registration is preferred. Professor Gordon Wenham, Professor Emeritus of the University of Gloucestershire and former lecturer at the School of Semitic Studies, Queen’s University of Belfast will give this year’s of the Anglican Chaplaincy of the University of Ulster (at Jordanstown and Belfast). They will take place on 3rd&4th November, 2008, 7.30pm at the Belfast campus of the University (beside Belfast Cathedral). The subject of the two lectures is ‘The Old Testament as Christian Scripture’. Free car parking is available in the precincts of Belfast Cathedral and tea/coffee will be served from 6.30pm.
