The Sixth Northern Ireland Ministry Assembly

The aim of our annual assembly is to encourage preachers. We firmly believe that when the Bible is opened and taught faithfully and relevantly the voice of God is heard in a living and powerful way. We therefore seek to encourage those engaged in preaching to see the exacting work of expounding Scripture as the pressing need in today's church. While the assembly, therefore, is mainly for those in current full-time preaching ministries, others are very welcome, especially students, apprentices and spouses of Christian workers.

Speakers:

Justin Mote

North West Ministry Training

Justin Mote became a Christian as a teenager through a teacher at school. After school he worked in retailing before going to theological college. He has served in churches in Basingstoke, London and the Wirral. He is currently the Director of the North West Ministry Training courses, seeking to equip people for a Bible teaching ministry in local churches. Justin is married to Jo and they have three children. He loves watching cricket and would love to play golf better. Justin will be giving three lectures on preaching from the Gospels with a particular focus on Luke.

David Cook

Sydney Missionary and Bible College

David Cook is the principal and Director of the School of Preaching at Sydney Missionary and Bible College. He is a Presbyterian minister and a graduate of SMBC and Moore Theological College. Prior to formal studies and pastoral ministry David worked in the Economic Research Department of the Reserve Bank. David has written Teaching Acts: Unlocking the book of Acts for the Bible Teacher (published by Proclamation Trust Media). He is married to Maxine, and they have five adult children and six grandchildren. David will be giving four expositions from the apostolic sermons in Acts.
